About Membership

Anyone can join OMAA. You do not need to be an O&M Specialist. We would love you to be part of building our association and the O&M profession in Australasia and believe if you have any interest in O&M services then you will benefit from membership.

There are several different types of membership:

AU$75 (Ordinary Member 1 year)

Persons meeting OMAA’s professional and training requirements for Orientation and Mobility Specialists incl. Dog Guide Instructors

AU$40 (Associate Member 1 year)

Persons meeting OMAA’s professional and training requirements for Allied Orientation and Mobility Practitioners; e.g. Dog Guide Trainers and O&M Assistants.

AU$20 (Affiliate Member 1 year)

Persons meeting OMAA’s criteria for having an affiliated interest in Orientation and Mobility, e.g. students in the field, allied professionals, co-workers, consumers, parents etc.

Due to limited voluntary capacity, memberships are processed on a monthly basis. Therefore, there may be a delay before you are able to log in to the website and are issued with a receipt.

NB: All amounts listed below are in Australian dollars.

Your bank will convert the amount paid to your own currency. To estimate the amount to be paid in your own currency:

1. In the textbox, change ‘0’ to the total amount you wish to convert 
2. In the first dropdown box (‘From’), keep the option on ‘Australian Dollar (AUD)’
